Vilnius County Adomas Mickevičius Public Library is located in the Old town of Vilnius, on Trakų str. 10. The oldest information about this building goes back to the 17th century. A document from 1906, found in the archives of the Ogiński family, states that this house was bought from the Franciscans. Thus, at the beginning of the seventeenth century, there was already a brick house with a system of cellars underneath it.
During Culture Night we will dare our visitors to go down to the cellars of the library, where different activities will be hidden in various spaces: hourly tours of the old cellars, educational activities for children ‘The stories of the shadows’, embroidering with glow-in-the-dark threads, and, finally, an enchanting performance of the choir ‘Eglė‘.
