The well-known and common straw gardens in Lithuania (Lithuanian Sodai) are already recognized in the world: they are included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. They represent one of the most beautiful decorations associated with christenings, weddings and calendar festivities. Usually Sodai had a ceremonial, symbolic meaning, so they hung in the most honorable place in almost every Lithuanian home. We invite you to take a look at the wonderful set of Lithuanian sodai straw gardens exhibited in the National Museum of Lithuania and take part in a creative workshop.
