Using a wide range of forms of expression, not limited to new technologies, the graduate students of the Department of Photography, Animation and Media Art, Vilnius Academy of Arts delve into the complex issues of their personal concern. These include identity and its transformations, the ambiguity of memory, living without prior instructions in an uncertain and unstable world, and the oppressive historical legacy that cannot be chosen. The aim of the artists is not only to create compelling works of art, but also to understand their place and role in today’s reality.
