The project “Shining Hats”by Lithuanian artist Artūras Šimonis is an autumn-winter exposition of the gallery of illuminated installations “Art (erija)” established by local creative community of “Stiklo kvartalas” in Stiklių and Gaono streets, Vilnius Old Town. This exhibition consists of 25 white hanging glowing hats with integrated warm LED and diode lamp installations. The main idea and theme of the exhibition is to remind and remember Jewish people – craftsmen, merchants, small businessmen, intellectuals, etc. – who lived in these streets in XVI-XX centuries (now Stiklių, M.Antokolskis, Žydų, Gaono, etc.), whose lifestyle, life, activities or folklore strongly influenced the general social, economic and cultural context, who lived in this place of Vilnius, leaving a deep, authentic footprint for Vilnius and the world.
